Helpful book to whiz thru even though it's been a long time sine retired not so long as a widow. Good book.
I recently retired, and I don't think I saw anything in this book that I hadn't already thought of, or done. Good well-written advice for the clueless.
This book was ok,, but plain common sense dictates a person would have already done the steps suggested in this book. The writing was done well, it just wasn't what I was looking for. I think maybe the title threw me off.
As I will be retiring next week, with trepidation I might add, I found this book to be helpful and encouraging. It offers some well researched advice. It is well written and worth the quick read.
Very nice book--very well written and put together, but of course the important thing is how books like these lay things out so simply, and if followed, lead to a great retirement, great Golden Years. By sharing the bitter and the sweet regarding retirement with tons of specifics buying and reading this book is a no-brainer. Not quite ready to retire myself, I do like books like these and now have it along with Younger Next Year and David Bach's books (Start Late, Finish Rich). Nice read! Never too early to have!
An easy read with practical suggestions. Many of the topics and suggestions I have already explored, but it is great to have these ideas reinforced. I am very much in favour of getting your affairs in order on retirement and am still working on these aspects. After the recent death of my mother I was impressed that she had written her own eulogy. she had made her wishes clear and her life celebration was something the whole family enjoyed. I would like to do that for myself and make things easy for others. good thought provoking book.

Several years left to go and want to find out what's really going to happen.
Love lists of what you can do to get away from one another, too much time together with your spouse is going to wear on both of you.
Love chapter on downsizing, i'm today going through some old bills and health papers we no longer need and we went through a kitchen utensil drawer the other day while it was too hot outside.
Like sections on travel and exercise and food consumption, it's what we are doing now when my spouse gets time away from work. Love just 2-3 day excursions to new places with friends.
Keeping your mind active along with your bucket list are great suggestions. Resource listings are available at the end but was surprised there was no advice on money matters.
