There is nothing more comforting, and cozy than stepping into a house on a cold, blustery winter's day and smelling a pot of homemade vegetarian chili cooking in the crock pot. I can remember as a kid, going to Granny's and being greeted by the aroma of this chili. Granny made some good, wholesome food, and for a kid there was nothing better. I do the same for my family, and these stews and soups are some of my favorite dishes to prepare. I carry this on because I enjoy nothing more than filling my family with wonderful memories over the dinner table.

I guess like most vegetarian cookbooks I was disappointed in this because of the use of soy, tofu, etc. For one thing I am allergic to soy and it seems if you are a vegetarian this is what you eat in place of meat. Besides the fact I have read that soy can also block your thyroid. The only recipes I use in this book pertains to the beans. I have used a couple of them but would I buy the book again, probably not because of the reasons above.Product details
