This idea came to me from a place of silence. A week after spending a fall break from school with my daughter, I reminisced about the incredible time we spent together, being present and in the moment. But it doesn’t have to be that way and we can capture this now. These experiences should be captured and I’ll tell you why. Getting older is a fact of life. The cliché is true- the older you get, the quicker it goes, doesn’t it? How do we hold on to those memories in a tangible way? Hence this book. Families change and grow. Friendships evolve. Your philosophy could change. We change careers more frequently today. Health matters differently at stages in our lives. Our material possessions can expand or contract over time. Much the same can be said for our hobbies. So, how do we keep it all glued together? We all struggle with this. Work too much, miss your family. Don’t work enough, you might not be able to take care of your family. But what if we could focus on our family, friends and connections and chronicle these experiences in a book. You know, like this one? Part journal, part travel experience? Part time capsule, part historical reference? Its been said by others before me, but I believe this axiom is true- there is nothing more important than how you feel. If this is a fact, then can you consider doing the activities in this book? It will become a source for you to always drink from and savor. You’ll be able to look back at a picture, the written word and recall those fond memories that were seared into your soul at the time they happened. You pick who would benefit from hearing about your escapades and who you are and the people you loved. Remember- people are curious and they want to know about you. I absolutely love the concept behind this book. While helping my mom clear out the attic, we rediscovered many papers that I wrote in elementary school. Mom was a keeper. I enjoyed reflecting on the "me" of elementary school. I want that possibility for my grandchildren so I ordered 4 copies of this book for them. I'm impressed with the quality of the book and know that it will last until my grandchildren are adults. I plan to give the books as Christmas gifts and to help them write their first entry on Christmas day.Product details

Great book to help keep memories alive! I am looking forward to filling it with my soon to be born grandchild. Also great for a child to keep his or her memories of events with friends!
I have a three year old who is enjoying this journal on car rides. She is able to draw her experiences on the ride home. We just pack some crayons and the book in her backpack and off we go.
What a wonderful concept! As a grandmother, I see a way for my grandson to capture the important moments in his life and when he has children of his own, he will be able to share them. From experience I know that children love to see and hear stories about when their parents were young. As a teacher, I see a way to validate the writing process. Children learn to write by writing. True writing for young children comes from sharing personal experiences. This sharing creates the fluency necessary to be a literate adult.
I just purchased 2 of these books to give to my nieces and nephews who have just had their first children. I look forward to watching them fill the books with amazing discoveries and experiences with their children and be able to look back at the book years from now to fondly remember those times.
